About the band: Taking their name from the Southern slang for the mile-high bouffant hairdos of their female singers, the campy and funky B-52’s emerged in the early ‘80s from the alternative music hotbed college town of Athens, Georgia. With no limit to their energy, “Rock Lobster” and “Love Shack” are but two of this hipster party band’s repertoire of good-time cheer. Opener, The 88, is one of Southern California’s rising stars, whose contagious power pop and infectious energy will ensure them imminent fame.
