Voices Veterans Storytelling Project

Heroes Hall - Medal of Honor Plaza

Event Description:

Heroes Hall is continuing its mission to honor the legacy of Orange County veterans by announcing a special program for veterans.

Voices Veterans Storytelling Project is presented by Arts Orange County in collaboration with Chance Theater, Heroes Hall Veterans Museum at OC Fair & Event Center and Veterans First. This program empowers veterans to use theater to talk about their experiences and help the community understand the life of a veteran.

Over the course of six weeks, veterans will participate in weekly workshops that will culminate in a public performance at Heroes Hall. All workshop participants will have the opportunity to tell their stories during an evening storytelling showcase which will be open to the public on Tuesday, May 23, at Heroes Hall. This will be the first performance hosted by Heroes Hall in its new Medal of Honor Plaza.

Voices Veterans Storytelling Project is supported through grants from the California Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Orange County Community Foundation, and The William Gillespie Foundation.

Tuesday, May 23, 8-10 p.m.
